About Us
Election Referee is dedicated to voter participation in fair elections. A primary task is to make election rules easier to understand. Additionally, we want to add our voice to the citizen arbitrators of election controversies as they arise. Elections are critically important to democracy. Unfortunately, disgraceful political tactics often result in focusing attention away from the many important issues we face.
ElectionReferee.com will blow the whistle and throw the penalty flag when we see a foul. We attempt to be fair, non-partisan, and unbiased. We encourage you to post your comments on this site and also to vote in our polls.
We use the football referee analogy to have a little fun and also to put some perspective on controversies. Not all fouls and penalties are equal in football or politics. We take election fairness very seriously. The football referee analogy is only a useful tool.
Of course, we do not think of ourselves as THE election referee. Election disputes usually have a way of sorting out through the mainstream media and other communication avenues. Occasionally, courts get involved, as did the Florida Supreme Court and the U.S. Supreme Court in 2000 to judge the dispute in the Florida Bush vs. Gore election.
We want www.electionreferee.com to be an online voice and community for those concerned about election fairness. We do not consider ourselves to be experts, we are only ordinary citizens interested in the presidential election.
The pronoun “we” is used because this site was inspired by a few people, and we hope to have a small community of responsible posters.

In his free time, he is a “news junkie” and “election geek”. He has participated as a volunteer in several local and presidential political campaigns since 1984. He was a precinct captain for Harold Washington’s mayoral re-election campaign in 1987, in which Chris gained more experience in how campaigns organize their “ground game” to “get out the vote”. Thank you for this and we need people like you to blow the whistle when you do see a foul. I think “they” complicate all these “rules” to throw smoke in our eyes so we don’t know what the hell is going on. My hat is off to you!!!

Amen - Thanks for all this work on behalf of your country … especially meaningful because you are doing it without a monetary motive - As they say in New Hampshire - “Live Free or Die”. I feel the same way. Talk about the eleventh hour. It is one minute to midnight and maybe this site may shine a little light before all the lights go out.
