There are so many great arguments about this issue… and it took me a while to weigh them to form a clear opinion. As of the facts I’ve seen to date, I have to agree that Clinton will and should take the VP job if it’s offered… which it probably will and should be.

If she is not on the ticket, and wants to be president someday, she will work hard behind the scenes to sabotage Obama because it will be much easier for her to run in 2012 against McCain etc.

Alternatively, she may feel like this is her only chance at becoming a big wig in the party… so she could turn down the VP position in favor of expanding her influence in other ways.

I’m tempted to think that she probably rightly thinks this is her best shot. The American media certainly doesn’t tolerate old women well and the American public is even worse on that score. 60 is pushing it… but 64? That’s a much harder sell.

And for those who say I may have a soft spot for Hillary… I kinda do. My mom is four years older than Hillary and I think, if given more opportunities, she would have made great decisions to help clean up the country.

Hillary carved paths where there were none… and for that she has to be given some credit.

Does she often sound less optimistic than Obama? Sure. But she’s seen, heard, and understands how decision makers really are in the backrooms of the world.

Does that make her hands dirtier than Obama’s? Sure. But dirty hands are often a sign of hard work having been done.

Her soul may not be as pure as Obama’s… anymore, if ever… but she does bring some important skills to the table that cannot be downplayed in importance.

He needs her or someone like her who is willing to get dirty and can understand all the dirty people of the world… especially if he wants to stay clean. Maybe not quite the “Darth Vader” to Bush… but you get the idea.

It is my belief that obama and Clinton ticket will be the best bet to defeat McCain Ticket in eth general election ig the democrats want to retain control. This nation cannot repeat cannot afford any more of the Bush doctrine financially wth the war in Iraq.if we are to regain our position as a world leader,we must put our house in order starting with the new adminstration after this election. We cannot continue on this path any longer.I hope what is best for our country will prevail,we must unify our country it is absolutely necessary,if not the split will be irrepariable.thank you HE Reid

John McCain has served our country well in the past, both militarily and in the senate, however his phylosphy to follow George Bushes policy is wrong for our country, during the BUsh adminstration we have lost most of our allies in other parts of the world, our support is waining and we are unable to maintain our position as a world leader. It is absolutely necessary for us to get bacck on the right track and regain our image in the world. We certainly cannot afford any longer to fund the war in Iraq, continue to maintain our position as a world leader. We are pledging our childrens future by borrowing more money to fund this war. I do not like the man nor do I feel he can make a good president he is lying just to become a president, he is not what you think. Just like Bush lied and has pulled number so will Obama, that is why I will voting for McCain as President of USA.

I can not believe what people are writing in regards to Hilary Clinton, she is really the best choice, they keep mentioning Bill Clinton, but ok he did one thing wrong, but the the economy was great and we were not indebt until Bush took over and screws us and still is. Hilary Clinton is a fighter and does not give up easily, why should we have to wait another 4 years for her to run again. Obama will not win, believe it all republican will make sure and Hilary most of her supporters will vote for McCain. Last work doesn’t hear what Hilary Clinton is saying when she speaks, through her speeches she alway spoke first then Obama followed he did not speak well and copies most of Hilary Clinton comments. What are you Obama followers hearing, I just don’t see it. Is it because he black and you think American owes the black people something this is not what the Presidency is about - Obama is not Colin Powell he does have any background that qualifies him the Presidency, he is not that great, and he is deceitful. How could Bush be voted in twice with all his lies, I guess that how Obama will win with the same lies.

I will vote for any democrat and any democratic ticket. It is simply the only chance we have for a future. Look down the road towards the next 20 years — and then come back to the voting booth this November. IF you have not already comitted suicide at that thought, you surely will within 20 years. The Chinese have a saying: If you stay on the road you are on - you will probably get where you are headed. A vote for McCain is simply long-term suicide… and Dee, Clinton is spelled with one “L”.
